The Front Light Arm attaches to the Front Light Arm Clamp and holds your Front Light in place. This enables the Front Light to be positioned in exactly the right spot with minimal effort. Make sure to you attach the bulbs and the Front Light Hood to your Front Light before you mount everything up in the air (otherwise it will be too high for you to easily reach).
